Great buy

Average rating of 4 out of 5 stars

This is like 4e in a box. You get $30 in minis and the game can be played single player which is great.

MINIS! FOR THE LOVE OF THE GODS MINIS!

Average rating of 5 out of 5 stars

The board game rules this game runs on are surprisingly fun, but the real value in this game are the 42 miniatures it comes with! All but one of them are recasts of minis from previous lines D&D has produced over the years (Including one huge red dragon bless them.) all for $42.89. I scoured this website and did the math, If you wanted to buy all these miniatures in their original painted versions it would cost $362.89. That is a HUGE amount of value! And the fact that these minis don't come painted isn't even much of a problem because after a wash with a soapy tooth brush and a base coat of gesso, they take paint very well and you can get them to look amazing all on your own!

Fun way to slay a dragon

Average rating of 5 out of 5 stars

Wrath of Ashardalon is a fun game. Wrath of Ashardalon is the second d and d adventure system board game. The theme is more classic fantasy than Castle Ravenloft. The game is a bit easier too. Wrath has a campaign mode where you can complete multiple quests and carry over your characters. This is a neat addition. It plays much like Ravenloft, fun, fast, d and d light. The characters from each adventure system game can be used in all adventure system games and that is awesome.

This game is fantastic, with a great quality and mechanic. It's easy to play, but hard to win!

Board game is average. The real value is the miniatures.

Average rating of 5 out of 5 stars

The board game itself isn't anything special. Basically it's a simple version of D&D 4th edition. The random dungeon tile draw gameplay feature is interesting. You will have fun if you want to play some D&D but don't want to play play full blown D&D. The REAL value is of this set is the miniatures (and to a lesser extent the dungeon tiles). "42 Plastic Heroes and Monsters" These are hard plastic unpainted versions of D&D miniatures from various lines. That Includes the HUGE Ashardalon Dragon and 2 large miniatures. All these miniatures paint up really well if you wash them, soak them in water then dry and prime them. I also gave them a nice coat of varnish afterword and they have not lost any paint even after heavy use. In particular the grells and the gibbering mounds are excellent miniatures and are fun to paint. And you even get a set of 7 orcs with this! If you are working on your painting skills and need a wide variety of minis to work on then this set is one of the best values out there. Just look on google search to see what other people have done with these minis.

The Best of the Best Dungeon Crawls

Average rating of 5 out of 5 stars

This is my favorite of the series. Fight with crazed dragon cultists and vengeful elementals. Can you face Ashardalon itself? Even better? The monsters and heroes are interchangeable with the Legend of Drizzt and Castle Raveloft board games. Awesome value. Great games!
