Some Secrets Are Worth Dying For

In Icewind Dale, adventure is a dish best served cold.

Beneath the unyielding night sky, you stand before a towering glacier and recite an ancient rhyme, causing a crack to form in the great wall of ice. Beyond this yawning fissure, the Caves of Hunger await. And past this icy dungeon is a secret so old and terrifying that few dare speak of it. The mad wizards of the Arcane Brotherhood long to possess that which the god of winter's wrath has so coldly preserved - as do you! What fantastic secrets and treasures are entombed in the sunless heart of the glacier, and what will their discovery mean for the denizens of Icewind Dale? Can you save Ten-Towns from the Frostmaiden's everlasting night?

Icewind Dale: Rime of the Frostmaiden is a tale of dark terror that revisits the forlorn, flickering candlelights of civilization known as Ten-Towns and sheds light on the many bone-chilling locations that surround these frontier settlements.

A D&D adventure for characters of levels 1-11.

For use with the fifth edition Player's Handbook, Monster Manual, and Dungeon Master's Guide.

Icewind Dale

Average rating of 5 out of 5 stars

My RPG group is getting reading to jump back into D&D. This adventure is a fun read so far and is all self-contained to keep your players engaged.

Great campaign

Average rating of 4 out of 5 stars

The campaign is a lot of fun as I’m using it as a guide more than anything. The book itself has many incorrect use of words throughout the campaign. There are some misspelling and my book cam with a dark blue ink line covering half of one page and the entirety of the other page. Very frustrating to see such a simple error be overlooked. Everything else is great though.

Massive module, quality outstanding.

Average rating of 5 out of 5 stars

Fantastic module. Very flexible—not the same adventure based on factors including starting area. Feels like it sets you up for success in all facets. Also new monsters that rules lawyers won’t be familiar with!

Setting is great, adventure is meh

Average rating of 2 out of 5 stars

This module promised a lot of things it doesn't live up to. It's really all over the place. Quite a steep price for something that requires dozens of hours of prep and fixing before you can run it. I wish WotC would learn from modern publishers who make adventures to be run out of the box with low prep.
