Looks interesting, though a bit lacking in depths

Average rating of 3 out of 5 stars

I'm giving it 3 stars because Miniature Market lists that as acceptable, which is about how I feel about this book. While I haven't had a chance to run much Spelljammer, I have skimmed through the books. The monsters and player options look interesting, but Wizards of the Coast leaves the most room for improvement in the materials for a Dungeon Master to actually run their own Spelljammer campaign. There's some really interesting spelljamming ships with maps/layouts for each of the ships and a bit of lore of who is typically piloting them and how some of them came to be, which is so cool and makes me want to use these cool ships! But then the explanation for how to run ship-to-ship combat is so brief it leaves me feeling unprepared to actually use those cool ships in my own game. This is one specific example of a growing trend I have felt from 5th edition Dungeons and Dragons materials: There is a wealth of interesting player character options, but a lack of useful and efficacious tools to Dungeon Masters run an interesting campaign to allow players to use those interesting character options.

Nice

Average rating of 4 out of 5 stars

Great looking books. Price wise, a bit expensive for the content it covers. I definitely hope they expand on Spelljammer. The covers have a nice glimmer to them.

Long Awaited Return!

Average rating of 4 out of 5 stars

The covers are gorgeous for these books, much like the majority of the Alt Covers. I've been waiting for Spelljammer to return since 2nd edition. This is definitely a good start!

Amazing Covers

Average rating of 5 out of 5 stars

The alternate versions of the Spelljammer Books (including the DM Screen) have incredible covers. I was hoping for a more robust version of the monster manual that is included, but some of the monsters have cool twists on normal abilities (such as the dragon breath weapons...) I have not gone through the adventure module or rules book yet, so cannot give insight on quality of content there, but the set looks great.

Miniature Market always has amazing options for table top role-playing. Spelljammer the alternate cover was no exception, a beautiful set with extensive content for Dungeon Masters to use in their next adventure.

Spelljammer, still jammin' just slimmed down.

Average rating of 3 out of 5 stars

I know a lot of people don't like it, because 2e Spelljammer had so much information and many cool resources. But I honestly don't think this is a bad set, the books are beautiful, the information is presented well, and honestly I've been dreading the ship combat and it didn't seem too hard to run. I'm looking forward to incorporating this into my game.

Absolutely love the alt covers on these books. The campaign setting seem to add a lot of unique aspects to the game. I can't wait to play through with my friends.

The Alt Cover art is awesome!

Fantastic product! The gm screen is useful (which is rare) and the adventure really helps the gm learn how to fail forward, something that most struggle with.

Almost perfect

Average rating of 4 out of 5 stars

When I received these books the corner of the outermost sleeve was slightly damaged. I do belive this was due to the hyper rushed shipping. Don't know where the dammage was inflicted. I have never had a single issue with minature market. The books and dm screen was in perfect condition. Just a small issue with the sleeve the books came in. I was able to get rid of the crease, but just be aware.
