June 6th, 1944. Before you can storm the beaches of Normandy, you must cross the English Channel! Board a vulnerable landing craft on a stormy sea, brave sea mines and various obstacles, and try to survive constant bombardment to reach the bloody sands. Once there, fight side-by-side with historical heroes, fulfill special missions and hopefully earn a field promotion or two. One thing is certain: the only way to get out of this alive is to go through Hell itself...
This expansion adds a lot of content in the form of 5 modules that can be played individually or mixed together:
The Way to Hell is a short, introductory mini-game that lets you experience the terrible boat ride to reach the beaches. Pilot your landing craft carefully, avoid merciless shelling and deadly mines, and deliver your troops from the Sea Map safely to the shore. The better you do, the more troops and resources you'll have when you start fighting on the beach!
Special Missions are 40 cards that add a new layer to the game by giving you specific objectives. Each player has a different one, and all must be fulfilled or the game is lost! When your Mission is accomplished, draw 12 Field Promotion card to discover what your rewards are.
Heroes depict real-life war heroes of WWII! These 25 cards work as replacement Specialists with a slightly higher cost and, of course, better abilities. Now you can have Corporal Léo Major, Combat Photographer Robert Capa, Hero Audie Murphy, Paratrooper John Frost, or even War Correspondent Ernie Pyle in your unit!
Gold Dice are a new color of dice that can be played like Red, White, and Blue dice, but with a twist: they take the color of your choice in your Final Tally!
SHAEF (Supreme Headquarters Allied Expeditionary Force) is a new playable country that adds a new color (pink) and a unique table for RWB bonuses. Did someone say pink dice?
Along with new Awards, Vehicles, and 3 Sea Maps, this box includes 5 exciting Battle Maps to expand the beachfront of your invasion and provide you with even more inland objectives. Will you conquer Juno Beach? Will you die on Utah Beach? Will you find a way to neutralize Cosy's Bunker?
