Wonderful world
This game is a wonderful tile placement game, that has a fun resource management aspect on your personal player board. The wooden pieces for the buildings have a wonderful table presence and add some extra strategy to the game. It's a great entry level game for people new to games, but can get crunchy enough for season gamers.

I love everything about this game! The core gameplay loop is immensely satisfying and the final product is always fun to look back on.

Smart, well designed game
The placement rules took a game to get used to, but it's fun to play and packs a good punch for a short-ish game with relatively low rules overhead.

Boring title, great game
World Wonders has a classic midweight euro feel. The money track on your personal board is essentially action-point allocation. I enjoy this aspect as well as the spatial puzzle the game presents. If you don't like polyominoes or spatial puzzles, this isn't your game, but it does what it does really well.

Liked it
Over-hyped. But we liked it. It's a keeper for me. It's fun to select a polyomino, place it on your board, try to strategically score those points and claim a 'wooden wonder'. Its a great game to play with people NOT into the hobby but they just want to have a good time and not spend hours learning it. Rulebook is SHORT. I will thumbs down the component quality for the cardboard. It's ugh but the wonders are so awesome.

Wonderful
Throughly enjoyed this one. It is hard. Fun to place tiles and/or wooden wonders on your board and see it expand. Even though it’s a polyomino, placing things will get tricky as your corners get tighter. It is long so expect 90 minutes at minimum. Easy to understand rules and quick to teach (3 pages). Note that component quality is meh.

Solid but frustrating
World Wonders is a very solid game but it can be frustrating. You are doing your own thing, you have great plans, but when the piece you've been waiting for comes up, someone else grabs it before you, or someone takes the monument you were going for right before you can. Still fun, probably better at 3 than 4 since we ran out of monuments before the game ended.
