Load the Catapults!

Average rating of 5 out of 5 stars

Does anyone remember Crossbows and Catapults? Because this reminds me of it. Pretty simple game at its core: Each side builds a castle, populated by their little plastic people. Then you take turns knocking them down by shooting rubber balls out of catapults! Loads of fun for the kids and the catapults work very well.

It's exactly what it looks like--and that is excellent.

Average rating of 5 out of 5 stars

It's exactly what it looks like. A wonderful little game of shooting boulders at your opponent's castle and knocking over their little army people. The component quality is top-notch, you can tell the designers worked hard to find the perfect balance between boulder/castle weight and it makes for a wholly satisfying experience. Honestly, you already know if you want this game just by hearing the premise, so what are you doing still reading this? Buy it!

12 year old nephew loves it

Average rating of 4 out of 5 stars

There's not a lot to it -- build your castle with the blocks, place your figures, then try to take out your opponent's figures. The cards add some light strategy, but I think the simplicity of this game is what my nephew enjoyed most. I've tried to play some other boardgames with him and he specifically mentioned liking this one because you don't have to learn so many rules. Probably a good stepping stone for more complicated games later.

Throwing stones

Fun little game of flinging rubber rocks at each other's castle. Has a minor amount of card play, but otherwise very little depth. Excellent kids game.
