Big cloud giant

Average rating of 4 out of 5 stars

It's a rich and formidable cloud giant figurine. It comes in one of the (much) larger-sized containers, because it's an absolutely grande figurine. Woe unto any other giant that stands next to her! They will pale in comparison.

Cool mini, although it leans forward a bit more than I’d like. Still stable in the base if glued near the back.

Giant-sized Giant

Average rating of 3 out of 5 stars

I have not painted this miniature yet. My first point of appreciation is that for once, the miniature company has provided a giant that matches the scale described in the D&D rule books. Other cloud giant miniatures I have encountered were ~90 mm tall - translating to a 16' (5m) tall giant. This size was the first point of sale. I also very much appreciate that Miniature Market provided the miniature's height in their product description. That information was crucial to my decision to buy from them. I am nervous about painting this miniature because she is decorated with clear plastic bits; these will be difficult to paint around. The miniature is pre-primed. I have had some back experiences with pre-primed Nolzur's miniatures, where the priming was thick enough to obscure facial and hand detail. However, this one does not have that issue. That may be a factor of the size of the miniature. Finally, the miniature is a single piece. Some details (for example both arms) will be hard to paint. Normally on a figure of this size, I would do a simple paint job before assembling. This would make painting the right arm (which is largely hidden beneath the cloak) much easier. Likewise, the head would be easier to paint without having to work around the protruding clear plastic cloud wisps. This is a good miniature, and I hope to see more in this line, but it will be difficult to paint properly.
