D&D Nolzur's Marvelous Unpainted Minis: W8 Young Black Dragon

I love how the mini turned out and the mini itself unpainted looks amazing

I was so excited to get the dragon but I'm not near the store, I bought it online, and the base ks defective. It doesn't fit in the black dragon at all, and the base from every other young dragon I have doesn't fit. And the clear part came off the base. I think maybe the wrong clear part got put on this base?? I have no idea how to rig this but I really wanted to paint it and I'd already thrown away the packaging except the painted picture from the back. So once my next young dragon comes in I'll check for manufacturer info and see if I can possibly get a replacement base for my guy. Love the detail, really cool design and I'm making him with a wolf familiar in his mouth all menacing and gory. Only problem is he's gonna fall over and look stupid if my DM let's us battle him.

The young dragons are the perfect balance between table presence and practicality and price. Sure you could go larger for maximum impact but try storing and lugging around a few of the adult size minis. These blend great detail with realistic portability and are a blast to paint without using up a whole paint pot on one mini. I have them all except the red, which I will snap up at the first chance.

I have always liked the design of the black dragon, especially the horns. This miniature is fantastic!

Stand doesn't fit in well, but easy fix and great miniature!

The young black dragon mini looks great, though I did have too small issues concerning it. First, though the mini is a Young Dragon mini, it's noticably larger than the other two young dragon minis I have (bronze and red dragons), it's a small issues that most people probably won't care about. Second, the box the mini came in bent one of the mini's wings and I had to use a hair dryer to bend it back and it still doesn't look quite right.

Well-crafted, has nice detail and comes with the stand. Very nice for the price. Fun to paint.
