Transformers Deep Cuts Unpainted Minis: W1 Bumblebee

The sculpt and the details are fantastic.

I'm not the biggest Bumblebee fan, but he looks as good as he should, right down to his Gen 1 weirdly small gun.

Miniature was for my nephew who likes to paint with me. It was perfect for him. Easy to separate where the colors need to go (he is 6). Had a lot of fun painting it. Took it home before I could get a picture

The model is very detailed and well made. We have not had a chance to paint it yet as we are waiting on paints. We also have never really painted any figures before and this is our first attempt. Happy with the Miniatures though and excited to try. Also, Miniature Market was super helpful on our order and changed it for us to have it split up and arrive sooner. Great company and will be for sure shopping with again

I've been buying two of the same models at a time from this series so my son and I can paint them together. For the price, the detail isn't that bad for a miniature. It's nice that they come pre-primed but I have noticed that on some of the models the primer is not fully covering the model so washes and some paints won't take and tend to bead up a little bit in those areas. Also, we have had some areas of paint rub off right down to the plastic. If you are looking to invest some serious time into the paint job I would recommend applying a second layer of primer. And then a good clear coat when finished. No two models' posses have been exactly the same and I believe that has to do with the resin used. There are some slight variations from pose to pose for the same type of model but so far with no crazy warping. The Resin is very fragile I will say. I had one of the model's legs snap off while removing it from the packaging. It was a clean break and glued back on seamlessly. My son dropped one of his models on the table and the arm snapped off but it was repaired the same as the other. With all that I would still recommend them. I'm a huge miniature collector and these are great gateway models. They are affordable, fun, low pressure to paint, and totally take you back to the 80's TV series.

Impressive figure for an impressive character. Crisp detail, clean lines, smooth surfaces, no mold lines. A good size, which helps for painting details. All the Transformers figures also include Autobot or Decepticon insignia decals (insignia depending on the figure) so you don't have to paint them if you don't want to. There's also a painting guide on the back of the package, not that most of us getting the figure will need it. :) A must have.

As with the other Deep Cuts minis, this one is primed and ready to go out of the box. For the more detail oriented, set aside about an hour for seam removal. Needle files make the process easy. Acrylic paints adhere well to the surface and the yellow/black/grey scheme is striking. Included are stickers and waterslide decals for the Autobot or Decepticon emblems. I used the Autobot decal without difficulty. Thank you for a quality model at a great price!
