D&D Nolzur's Marvelous Unpainted Minis: W11 Grell & Basilisk

This is kind of an odd pairing. The grell was perfect, but the basilisk comes separate from its environmental base and you're supposed to fit the pegs on the bottom of its feet into the holes in the base and it was a very difficult fit. I had to trim the pegs to fit the base.

Grell is awesome, Basilisk is too small to be used as anything other than a baby.

Nice minis but be aware the Basilisk is tiny. There’s plenty of texture on everything so will be easy enough to paint even with the crazy size.

The Basilisk is TINY! I'm pretty underwhelmed by Wizkid's available selection of this creature.

great sculpt. pre-primed makes them easy to get right to painting

the effort needed to paint them is worth how much cheaper these are than pre-painted alternatives.

When I opened the box it looked like I had ordered a basilisk that was a victim of the Reduce spell. In the monster manual, it says a basilisk is a medium creature but it looks as if it's a tiny creature. I'll warn you about the Grell mini, it's very fragile. My dad accidentally knocked it down and it broke.

The Basilisk is pretty small but is so cute. I could do without the Grell.

Was hoping the basilisk would be larger, but otherwise it's still a well-detailed model.

I love that these two monsters were paired together. My group just ran into them in our campaign and wanted to paint some. I purchased two sets and have already painted them up. The Grell is definitely the nicer and easier of the two to paint. The Basilisk is a little too small but at least they left it off the ground piece so you can get the underside easily.
