D&D Nolzur's Marvelous Unpainted Minis: W11 Crocodile

Great looking mini, loads of dynamic action. I'm excited to paint this one!

While for the most part, this miniature is completely passable, without special attention paid while painting, it is very apparent that the crocodile does not continue under the water. This mini is made up of two parts: the water, which is transparent, and the part of the crocodile visible above the water. To solve this problem, I painted the silhouette of the rest of the crocodile's body on the underside of the mini, however, I imagine this problem could also be combatted by making the water a very dark/murky color. After painting, especially with this solution applied, the miniature looks excellent, so if you are willing to put in the work, this one is definitely worth it.

While the actual crocodile is a bit smaller than I was expecting (the majority of the mini is taken up by the water effect), it was fun to paint, scales well to the table, and looks great. I love that they are using more and more of the translucent plastic to give water effects like this.
