Very useful for political intrigue campaigns.
I love that they give you all the pieces to set up a scene. The town crier and guards can also be reused in places besides the royal chambers.

Good NPCs
Great minis for those unique NPCs. A little less detailed than some other minis but hard to find good figures of none adventurer types.

Great set
I bought this one after I bought the villagers set, and this is easily my favorite set of the two. The lack of bases didn't bother me a bit: all of the figures stood just fine on their own, and made for a great time painting. It's nice to finally have some nobles in my collection.

Missleading
The lack of bases is a non verbal statement to the customer especially showing a product picture with the bases on the product.

Nice enough, but it only comes with one base.
Nice enough, but it only comes with one base. I felt cheated when I realized this, especially since all the minis are shown with bases on the packaging.

I have to agree, it is incredibly frustrating that it comes with a single black 1 inch base for 13 minis. Yet the packaging shows all minis mounted on bases.
