D&D Nolzur's Marvelous Unpainted Minis: W12.5 Troll

The bottom warped a little, making it harder to glue down, but otherwise great!

I like this version of a troll compared to other companies.

The Troll figure is a dynamic and interesting figure. It appears to be striding forward, reaching out to slash at adventurers with its long claws. Everything about it says classic D&D. Unfortunately, you'll have to do quite a bit of cleaning to make the model ready to paint and useable. One mold line went right across the face of the model and I lost some detail. I had to reprime the model due to the amount of cleaning that had to be done removed the prime it comes with.

This was a fun, quick, and easy mini to paint. It did have some various imperfections with the mold lines, but it actually had great detail with the muscles, warts, and body; and being slightly larger made it very easy to paint. Very happy with how it turned out.

The mini itself has good detail, it’s the mold lines that require prep work. Hobby knife will take care of most of the lines and smooth it out. Pre primed made painting easy.

I'm old school with D&D, have the old RP metal miniatures, the scale of these new one doesn't match the old, but Miniature Market has great prices, so I guess I can update.

I was going to buy a cheaper, pre-painted troll, but I got impatient waiting for them to restock. Dumb of me, 'cause now I'm definitely going to butcher it when I try to paint it, which is a pity, because the model is awesome! Seam lines are a bit obvious, but details, details! Got the raging variant, too. Same plusses, same minuses.
