D&D Nolzur's Marvelous Unpainted Minis: W14 Skycoach

Their comes a time for every GM, where they gave in and told the player(s) that Yes, you can get an airship. This one is fairly reasonable, not too big; lite weight; and with no room for the power gamer to add a death-ray. Remember, you can destroy the ship, if the player(s) keep trying to do something stupid.

Really great terrain piece with interactive elements

This skycoach is badass! I'm going to use it as the Air Ship in Strom Kings Thunder and I'm very excited to paint it!

I am overall pleased with this miniature. The only reason it is four stars instead of five is because of the card board deck. Would have preferred this in plastic. The soar sleds are very neat and I'm excited to be able to paint them in multiple colors instead of the base green that comes with the pre painted version.

It in itself is a good sculpt and scale for the rest of the line, although other brands, like reaper, may seem a little large on it. The assembly of the fins are a little stiff with their articulation, and the cardboard base leaves some to be desire

Over seas or land, easy to add this lovely boat. The top deck is a printed cardboard removable piece, which I didn’t know until I got it. You can totally hide a small treasure in there and the players would never know.

Sky Coach is awesome. Multi purpose boat or airship. It will be a great touch to have a visual image of what I'm failing to describe.

Scale doesn't go to Great or Excellent but the kit is Very Good. Would not say it is Great because the deck is cardboard and the bendy plastic they use tends to warp. That being said, it is easy to pop out the deck for painting and the bendy plastic means you aren't dealing with snapped parts like resin. There are the usual mold lines to clean up and a few gaps to fill but nothing a novice modeler cannot handle with 10 to 15 minutes and a sanding stick. There are a lot of neat features as well, like the ladder being slotted to fit bases so your mini can look like they are climbing and the flying sleds easily hold a 28mm base. For what it is it is a great kit for the general miniature hobbiest and a very good base to build on for those who want to kitbash and modify. So be prepared for a little prep work and some minor fitting work on the sails and if the cardboard deck is a turn off consider building a new deck using wood coffee stirrers.

Skycoach was very nice. No damage to it. One of the rails were a little warped but that is not MM fault. Still in great shape. I always recommend MM. Great customer service when I picked it up and always when I'm browsing the store.

An awesome mini with plenty of detail to make a painter happy. This piece comes with a ladder and boarding plank which are both nicely detailed. The cloud wisps are especially cool, as you can use them at varying heights, to represent flying humanoids! I've long wanted a flying vessel and a better way to show the height of minis on a table and this is where one acquires both. The wings are a pain to attach and will make you fear they may break, thankfully none did. This painful attachment of the wings and a the price are definitely drawbacks in my opinion and represent the 4 stars as opposed to 5.
