D&D Nolzur's Marvelous Unpainted Minis: W15 Adult White Dragon

Really love this white dragon. Great pose and size

I guess the amount of effort it takes to fix up a mini is directly proportionate to the size of the mini. If I'd paid full retail for this I'd be be pretty furious! However thanks to Miniature Market price matching instead of placing 3 orders through different companies I got just about everything here. So I'm happy but upset that WizKids can send out something lower quality and recommend selling it for $100.. They'd be better sending them unprimed... I'm spending more time/effort to sand this big boy down and re-prime him myself... Now I understand why people get air brushes lol Getting it on sale? I'm okay with a little labor. I'm really impressed they honored my price matches from different sites instead of saying 'no that's too much of a discount', they were completely legit. It actually got me to order more even though it takes a week to ship from Mini Market. Lots of big cracks in the wings, somehow literally fresh out of the box and plastic, the primer is worn all over in several areas? Plenty of gaps to fill and a big hole. Luckily the stand is removable in the unpainted model. Still this is less work to fix than the painted Red Dragon. Had some trouble catching the cracks in pics but the gaps are an issue I don't have good stuff for that yet (next order lol).

By the gods, this dragon is epic! When I purchased it I also purchased several other medium sized creatures at the same time. Rather than send multiple packages the other minis were tucked into the empty space around the dragon. This is gonna be awesome to paint and I can't wait to see the horror in my players' faces when I put this baddy on the combat map!

I'm always far more partial to the dragon sculpts with upswept wings, makes moving other minis around on the map far easier.

If you're like me and liked the premium fig pre-painted sculpts but not the paint job: this one at is good! No major gaps to fill in, surprisingly little clean-up for a nolzur's line mini as far as seams go, and the details aren't globbed full of paint. Great enough that I've got my fingers crossed hoping the rest are released this way too.

The model is absolutely perfectly sized. Exactly how big I imagine a ancient white dragon to be. It paints really well, especially with contrast paints.

I have seen the pre-painted version in stores. I refrained from buying because I wanted to paint it. I was excited to find this here. Great details, perfect size, just what was needed.

The details are pretty great. I was looking for an adult white dragon, Huge sized (3x3 squares) as described in DnD 5e stats. This sculpt is much bigger than that so the name was a little misleading, though the transparent base of the mini does include a 3x3 ring to indicate the space it occupies on the grid. Overall I'm excited about the purchase, but I wish I had known its actual size when I ordered it.

Absolutely amazing! My boyfriend is going to love it!

Good looking mini. Considering the size, I would be $150 if it was a great model.
