Paint jobs were better than expected. Sealed case was only missing one item from full collection (white dragon). Three of Four Mammoths had all the tusks broken in multiple places per tusk (due to way Mammoth was packaged and movement during shipping). All were easily repairable with superglue.

Miniatures galore.

Average rating of 5 out of 5 stars

We started rime of the frostmaiden and I wanted the miniature set to go with it. Was a great price, came in a little beat up (thanks UPS) and only had one miniatures that was broken. The way they are packed from the factory will make it to so you have to use a heat gun or the hot water trick to bend some weapons back but overall was very much satisfied.

Great Ice themed phantasy minis

Average rating of 5 out of 5 stars

The case had everything it was supposed to as well as useful duplicates. I'm a bit biased since I wanted this to run a campaign biased on ROTFM and didn't want to do a bunch of painting one of the knoll styles does have either a bit of funky head mold or just the way the paint was applied: I'm confident I can touch it up either way once I get to my paints.

Soo many minis

Average rating of 5 out of 5 stars

I ordered this to hopefully get a full set of minis which I did but the duplicates can be a little weird but with mini market I'll just do buy back and get the duplicates I do need

WizKids Pre-Painted Sets Improving every year.

Average rating of 5 out of 5 stars

The quality of WizKids prepainted mini's has improved greatly over recent years. Rime of the Frostmaiden continues and reinforces this trend. The mini designs look great, but more importantly the paint jobs have improved substantially from the earlier campaigns. Buying the case covered every piece including every Rare. The rares themselves seem to have extra attention given to them to make them stand out.

Odd choices

Average rating of 3 out of 5 stars

This is a higher quality set than I am use to seeing with the new icon line, but there were some very odd choices in this set. Creatures that we have no need for. A few disgusting blobs like the trout ....waste of plastic. Choice of rarity for some minis is infuriating!!! The Giant Skeleton, frost giant, and tomb trapper should have been, uncommon, and the mammoth and whale should have been rare. Instead we ended up with a market flooded with animals that most people dont need a lot of, and prices driven up for giants/skeletons ect that were obviously going to be popular.

All in all a good set

Average rating of 4 out of 5 stars

I was pleasantly surprised by the quality in this set. WizKids has really stepped up their game. The only one I think I am going to have to give the boiling water treatment too is the goliath barbarian due to its spear. I love the winter gear and clothing many of the minis have. Suitable to the adventure they are tied to. I didnt give this all 5s though because their are some minis choices I am not fond of. Goats... why do we need goats? Knucklehead trout? that just seems like a waste of plastic. ugh. My 10 year old daughters favorite mini out of the set is the snowy owl bear. This is one of my least favorite. Its cute. We dont need cute minis. Not a fan of it at all. I do love the huge white dragon, the gnome sized mind flayer, the snow goblins, and the gnolls. All in all I am happy with my purchase and most of these minis will see play on the table top. No idea what I am going to do with knucklehead trout though...maybe a familiar?
