A downed plan reveals the second body with the same strange tattoo; a heartbreaker with a broken heart lost more than her lover; when you're a murder writer, the blood on the pages is supposed to be a metaphor, and not your own.

In Heists & Heartbreak, you'll be faced with three fiendish crimes designed by designed by Evan Blewett. Each case features beautiful art from Vincent Dutrait, Snow Conrad, and Agnieszka Dabrowiecka that will pull you into the mystery from the moment you start.

So dust off your fedora, Detective. You may have though you've seen it all by now, but even though you're not a greenhorn anymore, Los Angeles has a few more surprises for you.

  • A Twist of the Knife - He wrote about perfect murders; twisted plots, clever killers, bodies no one was meant to find. Then, someone flipped the script, and left him dead in his own bed, with a signature twist straight out of one of his books. Coincidence? I don't believe in those. This case reads like fiction, but the blood's real.

  • Hollywood Heartbreak - She had fame, fortune, and a face that sold movie tickets coast to coast. Now she's just another headline, "Starlet Found Dead in Field". No diamonds, no spotlight . . . just dirt, blood, and a bullet through the heart. They called her a heartbreaker. Looks like someone finally returned the favor.

  • The Curse of the Jade Jaguar - A downed aircraft off the cliffs of Palos Verdes with a dead pilot, is tragic. The fact it is the second body with the same strange tattoo, is unsettling. Someone's tying knots in the dark . . . and as a detective, you're about to start pulling.

While detective players will not be able to experience a given case again as a detective (since they'll already know the solution), anyone can play the same case multiple times as The Chisel. In fact, it even benefits The Chisel to have played a case more than once! The Chisel will understand how the mystery works and have a better grasp of how to mislead and delay the detectives during their investigation.

In fact, a case can unfold VERY differently depending on how the detectives pursue their investigations, always forcing The Chisel to stay on his or her toes even if it's a case he or she's already played.
