Army painter is a solid choice
I really like Army Painter paints. They have good consistency and coverage, can be thinned down for use in airbrushes, and the colors I typically use are good matches for historically accurate models.

Good consistency and goes one smooth, good to a few different greys in my opinion, I hate mixing all the time.
