The Thing: Human Miniatures Set contains a set of eight highly detailed character miniatures, to use in place of the Characters standees you can find into the base game box. These miniatures represent the 8 main characters seen in the movie, such as Macready or Doctor Blair.
Using these Character miniatures in place of the standees enriches the game, giving it a more scenic aspect and a stronger impact to the gameplay.
Each miniature is supplied on a 25mm base.

Great miniatures for a great game
The alien miniatures are not necessary, but these are great and worth getting. Reasonably priced too.

Missing Childs
The minis are fine for the most part. There are a couple wearing or holding things that don't really make sense but it's fine. They only have 8 of the characters. There is no Childs. This guy is probably 2nd most important of the group. It's missing Fuchs, Palmer and Doc as well. I feel like I would dump Bennings for Childs or anyone for Childs. There are like the Wizkids minis and I hope to paint them. If you are a fan then get them and they are probably a 3.5-4.

Makes the game better
The Thing is already a great game but the miniatures add so much more. Great detail and quality.

The Thing Miniatures
Huge The Thing fan. Also have the Mondo version and the Who Goes There adaptation of the game. I found the miniatures underwhelming for this price point. I would recommend as a huge fan of the franchise or if you HAVE to use miniatures. I'd give them a 3.5 stars, so they are not horrid, definitely feel fragile too. I have the Dark Tower miniature set and those are so beefy comparatively. If you are making an impulse buy, wait for a sale.

I bought these models more as a fan of the IP than actually playing the game so take my feedback with a grain of salt. The detail is good and the likenesses are solid, as always theres some mold lines and flash to clean up but overall good. I would have given 5 stars but Macready doesn't have a sombrero on. Clear miss.

Well-made miniatures
The miniatures seem to be professionally sculpted. I also like the idea that they're not Politically Correct. They're not afraid to show that the humans were primarily white males.
