Daybreak Short Review
Daybreak (2023) Designer:s Matt Leacock; Matteo Manepace Publisher: CMYK / @cmyk Main Mechanics: Cooperative Game; Simultaneous Action Selection; Hand Management; Automatic Resource Growth Daybreak is a co-op BG about climate action. Where players control a world power, deploying policies and technologies to tackle global heating and build societies resilient to life-threatening crises. If the global temperature gets too high, or if too many people from any world power are in crisis, everyone loses. To win, players must work together to draw down global emissions to net-zero. In my humble oppinion, Daybreak is fast paced and higly addictive, with lots of variability in terms of challenges and tecnologies/policies to utilize. Many tactical paths to take and surprises to deal with on the horizon. Based on theme and mechanics, this boardgame deserves a lot of attention!

Good co-op to save the world
Very timely with saving the world from carbon emissions. A deck builder of sorts with a co-op aspect to work together and limit carbon emissions. Great pieces and no plastic because it practices what it preaches to save the world. There is a lot of background work here with QR codes to look up what each card actually is which adds to the general feel of it. If you're a co-op person, this is a good one from the designer of Pandemic.
