Dorfromantik: The Board Game

I was rather unsure how Dorfromantik would translate from the virtual to the physical, but I was pleasantly pleased by the result. The game's cute and calming artwork is perfectly complemented by the cooperative gameplay, which reduces tension and inspires creativity. The unlockable objectives also ensures that this game has plenty of replayability.

It's a cooperative tile placement game that you can play in 30 minutes.

Dorfromantik is a simple time laying game, but the campaign does a great job of introducing new elements that help ramp up scoring.

I thought I'd like this game after watching some playthroughs and I was right! I even got my family to play the game. It's nice and relaxing with no pressure, yet challenging at the same time to try and unlock all of the stuff. This will be a game I revisit for a long time.

This game is great fun and the campaign leaves you wanting to play just one more due to the nature of unlocking new tiles and bonuses. Before your first game you'll wonder just how you could possibly use all of the scoring rows on the campaign sheet, and then after unlocking some things you'll start to work out how you can maximize some things. The drip of new unlocks is just about right, maybe a little too fast at times. This is a great way to unwind after a day and short playtimes mean it's easily taken off the shelf during the week.

Fun board game, has like a development path that opens new items in the game.

I haven't played it yet, but I'm excited! I bought it as a raffle gift for my group's big annual game day celebration (our biggest one, anyway). I always raffle off the previous year's Spiele de Jahres winner and they've never disappointed!

Cooperative tile laying without any sort of crazy rules! Very easy to learn and the game grows as you play it more 11/10!!

Dorfromantik is really awesome and fun game. As you play it together it is really a nice family friendly game.

Cooperative and legacy games generally aren't our jam, but this one somehow holds our attention. It's fun to see your realm expand and to unlock the new scoring opportunities and refreshing to not always be looking to screw someone else over.
