Box Insert: Five Tribes & Expansions

Very easy to punch out, with no tears. Dry assemble and then apply glue, according to the manufacturer's YouTube video, and let dry completely before adding game components. The components and cards fit, although a little snugly with card sleeves. Everything fits in the box perfectly and stays intact even when stored on it's side

The assembly was fairly straightforward, though you need (white/PVA) glue for it to be structurally sound, which means it will take some time to set. The player trays weren't particularly useful, since they're a bit small and not really designed to be easy to retrieve bits from (and I like to include starting money with the player pieces for quick start), so I just left those out and continued using my small ziploc baggies. The insert still fits cleanly without the player trays, leaving a larger open area to accommodate both the meeple bag and the player baggies. The main benefit of the insert is to accommodate the expansions in the main box in a tidy way.

If you own everything for Five Tribes, this insert helps organize the entire game very well! Trust me, this insert is WAY better than attempting to bag everything and get it all to fit in the base game box. I like that they've split the coins into two separate trays for two sides of the table. They also included separate trays for the base game tiles (which fill one tray completely) and another tray for the expansion tiles. Same thing with the smaller cards (one for base game and another for the Whim's smaller cards). There's plenty of room for all three score pads and the bag full of meeples. Very well designed insert that was super easy to put together with some glue. Folded Space inserts are hitting home runs with their inserts. I haven't found one that I dislike! They are much lighter than the more expensive wooden insert! If you haven't tried one of these, you won't regret making this one your first trial. Just be warned -- once you've made one, you'll want others! I really like the Everdell insert too. I'm making the Clank! in Space one next!

Compared to other higher priced box inserts, I was pleasantly surprised at the sturdiness and quality of this one. It provides space for the base game and all existing expansions to date (07/2020). I wasn't able to fit all of the materials in the base box until I purchased this insert. I am very pleased. Now I have room on my shelf for new games. :) All that is required to put this together is regular school glue. The instructions were very easy to follow. The pieces slide together nicely and the glue holds them in place. Ensure you allow for ample drying time so your game pieces don't get glued to the box insert. I used a fan with no issues.
