The Lord of the Rings LCG: Angmar Awakened Campaign Expansion

I haven't gone through the whole expansion yet, but am happy to get some more scenarios having recently picked up the LOTR Revised edition. I've heard that these scenarios can be very challenging, which can be mitigated by playing on the 'easy mode' or by expanding your collection of hero cards.

This is a must have for anyone who owns LotR LCG.

This has all the quest and encounter cards from the Angmar Awakened cycle. It also adds campaign cards, boons, and burdens for playing the cycle as a continuous campaign, as is seen in the Saga expanions. The box is sturdy and the interior is the same size and layout as the revised edition core set, which is a huge perk I think.

I would have probably bought a different expansion first, because of the difficulty

These scenarios are HARD. If, like me, you only have rereleased content, what you will have for deck building options makes this campaign brutally difficult. However, it’s a fantastic buy in that you will have many games of trial and error attempting to win against these scenarios.

This is a fantastic campaign expansion for LOTR LCG!

The box doesn't feel like it contains much, but the content inside is fantastic.

LOTR LCG is hands down the best Solo LCG and Angmar Awakened only boosts that farther. This Cycle is incredibly thematic with a gripping tale that'll keep you coming back for more. Gameplay is like MTG but you are fighting in a story with incredible continuity, incredible difficulty (sometimes), and just rules heavy enough that you can really dive deep into the feelings of battle. Angmar Awakened just gives you more of this which if you like this game that's all you could ever ask for. Highly recommend this and the accompanying hero expansion (though the hero expansion is not necessary to enjoy the campaign).

If you never picked this cycle up the 1st time, do so now as the additional campaign cards make one of the best cycles even better.
