Super thematic with good heroes/player cards

Average rating of 5 out of 5 stars

I jumped into the Fellowship Saga expansion after playing the core/Dark of Mirkwood. The quests in this box are really thematic, and allow you to play out key events from the book. I love how they've used the different quests stages to really re-create the feeling of the the various events. These quests feel so different from the Core/Dark of Mirkwood quests, which really is starting to show me how unique the designers can make the different quests. Really excited to keep exploring this system! I'm using a slightly modified preconstructed Hobbit deck (from the rule book) along with Dwarves starter deck in this playthrough. At first, the Hobbits seemed a little underwhelming, especially in quest 1 (A shadow of the past), as they really power up by engaging enemies....and in quest 1, the Nazgul are pretty powerful until you've built up. But as I've played through the quests, I've gotten better at how to use this deck, and they're really starting to shine. Merry is a killing machine and Sam is an amazing hybrid quester/defender if built up.

More Scenarios!!!!!!!

Average rating of 5 out of 5 stars

More scenarios, with familiar faces, and can be linked together with the already released and pending 2nd and 3rd Fellowship of the Ring Saga expansions to form a grand campaign. You get a six-scenario mini-campaign in this box, but I am looking forward to putting it all together.

Great add

Average rating of 5 out of 5 stars

I love the mechanisms this expansion adds to the base game. If you like the base game, this will only add to it in a positive way.

Epic (pt 1)

Average rating of 4 out of 5 stars

A compilation of the first two saga boxes. The huge box looks nice but highlights how LITTLE you actually get for the money. The cards are humorously tiny compared to all the empty space in there. The gameplay though is exceptional!

Outstanding Expansion

Average rating of 5 out of 5 stars

Want to follow along with the books? This is the first step. FF is releasing them in order so now's the time to get this and the core box and start struggling through the game. It's challenging, but crazy good. You might want to bolster your decks with the starter decks, but you can make it with just this and the core.

One of the best expansions for this game

Average rating of 5 out of 5 stars

This expansion is in the running for the single best LotR lcg expansion: - great cards: hobbits, Gandalf, et al - the story from the first book - campaign play - a good balance of difficulty with some really epic moments for players.
