The Galactic Civil War rages on. After the destruction of the Death Star, the Galactic Empire's power is threatened. Stormtrooper legions surge across the galaxy in an effort to reassert their dominance, while elite Rebel operatives battle them at every turn. Against impossible odds, they engage Imperial forces in the struggle for galactic freedom.
Imperial Assault is an epic adventure board game in the Star Wars universe for 2-5 players. The mighty Imperial army and a cadre of deadly bounty hunters face off against daring Rebel heroes in a series of tactical combat missions. Iconic characters like Darth Vader and Han Solo raise the stakes in the epic campaign. Each battle escalates towards a climactic final showdown between the Galactic Empire and the Rebel Alliance.
In addition, special head-to-head rules allow players to build armies and compete in standalone skirmish missions, recreating epic confrontations from the Star Wars saga or creating all-new battles!

Great looking game
Really looking forward to getting this to the table. Low score is for the packing. The insert is terrible and 2 of the probe droid models were crushed and snapped off their bases. Was an easy fix with some super glue but it really shouldn'e be necessary. Also Vaders saber is bent and will take some work to keep straight for painting.

Fun Game - Fast Shipping
We have had a ton of fun playing this game. We love Lord of the Rings Journey to Middle Earth and were looking for something similar and this game was exactly what we wanted! We are excited to try out all the different game modes, and we love that you can play solo or with up to five people! We have played the campaign style with two people and it does not disappoint! highly recommend this game :)

Great Miniatures Game
This is an incredible game. Lots of good story telling and the app gives it lots of replayability and makes it very intuitive. Fairly easy to learn and has challenging enough gameplay.

Fun way to get started in campaign-style games
Definitely fun way to get into more role-playing/campaign-type game since it has the Star Wars Universe behind it which more people are familiar with. My wife and I have only played this with each other through a small portion of the campaign, but there are options to have additional players and even do skirmish (single) games if a mission/campaign isn't your style. So far fun, only reason for 4 instead of 5 stars is that the storage of the pieces isn't the best. I use other plastic bags (various sizes) to help keep things organized when in the box. Campaign Companion App is good, but there are a few areas that I've found to be a little confusing.

I Should Have Played it Sooner
I realize I'm getting into this game pretty late and I wish I had picked it up sooner. It's a great game to play with a group of friends. It has a decent story arc, simple rules and mechanics that are easy to teach to players new to roleplaying games, and it offers an easy entry point into the world of miniatures games and roleplaying games. Plus, it's Star Wars.
