Scour the battlefield with the LAAT/Ie Patrol Transport Unit Expansion for Star Wars: Legion! First seeing use by Republic police forces during the height of the Clone Wars, this transport is sufficiently armed and armored to contend with criminal enterprises or insurgent cells. Whether dropping clone troopers into urban battlefields or pinning down Rebel soldiers, both the Republic and Empire can use the LAAT/Ie for both transport and air support.
Within this expansion, players will find everything needed to add a LAAT/Ie Patrol Transport to their Republic or Imperial armies. The beautifully detailed, unpainted hard plastic miniature can be assembled with either Phase II clone pilots or Imperial TIE pilots, and unit cards for both factions help players fully integrate them into their forces. In addition to these cards, 12 upgrade cards invite players to customize their LAAT/Ie with unique pilots from both factions as well as ordnance and comms systems.

This is not a stand-alone game. A copy of Star Wars: Legion - Core Set is required to play.

Involved Build; Offbeat Usability in Game
Make sure you read the instructions before assembling! The LAAT/le looks good in a display case or on a tabletop when built and painted appropriately. Compared to most wargaming models, it is fairly involved with two separate interiors (cockpit and transport bay) and several delicate fins. As of writing (April 2022) the model has a weird place in-game. It's not the best transport out there, and it's not quite strong enough to be a true heavy support. I've found some success in using it in suicide runs up the midfield, dropping a Jedi into the enemy ranks, and letting the remainder of my army press into the tarpit. In all, a solid 4/5 from a builder/player standpoint. Nothing amazing, but solid on all fronts.

Fun
I think in the right builds for the GAR and with the right upgrades it can be really useful. I've really enjoyed playing with it so far. Though I went it with low expectations because every one was saying this unit was terrible. I've had a completely opposite experience with it.

Great play piece
One of the more intricate models, was a great build to put together. Came with a good amount of cards. Small custom options but a great asset to the game.

Great looking
This is a great looking model. I haven’t put it together yet but look forward to surprising my buddy when I pull this bad boy out and drop Vader off right on top of him.

Lots of areas to paint! Super detailed!
The instructions were not so great, but assembling subcomponents made me realize just how much detail and configurations you can add to this ship! It's beautiful!

LAAT is fantastic!
Love this new Legion model! Great detail and fun to assemble/paint. Adds a fun aspect to the game as well.

A great centerpiece model for two factions
If you play GAR or the Empire, I recommend getting one of these. It's a lovely model that will do well for you on the tables.
