Unhappily Ever After in the Storybook Woods

Killer: Big Bad Wolf
Location: Storybook Woods

Over the river and through the woods to grandmother's house you go. Never mind the growling, it must be your imagination, just keep skipping and singing. You stop in your tracks as a big, bad wolf leaps onto the path in front of you. Its eyes glow red and drool drips from its fangs as it stands on the path between you and your destination. . .Grandma will have to wait.

Not every story ends happily ever after. This isn't the Big, Bad, Wolf you imagined as a child. It's bigger and badder than you could imagine. Can you slow the wolf down before it becomes fast enough to move anywhere on the board in a single turn? Featuring "hunt" and "slay" modes, the killer will take different actions depending on what mode it is in, making for yet another unique challenge for you to tackle!

Storybook Woods features a unique layout with a river running through the land. You'll have to cross rickety bridges only you and one victim can safely traverse. Fairy tale events and items may be a magical miracle or a crippling curse. Will you get lost, or make it out of the woods alive?

The Core Box, when combined with one of our Feature Film Boxes, has everything you need to play the game. Each Feature Film Box features a unique Killer and iconic Location, and the more Feature Films you have, the more killer/location combinations you can experience!

Each Feature Film Box is double-sided, with amazingly illustrated covers on the front AND back. Not only that, but the magnetically attached box covers are removable, with the reverse of each functioning as the Killer and Location boards respectively.

This Feature Film box has cover art of Red on one side and Gretel on the other.

Howling good time!

Average rating of 5 out of 5 stars

People didnt like this one much as the board was a little tight in escapes and killer was a littlemeh. For me, i liked the wolf killer. Was deadly first game and liked it track and hunt mechanic.

If you are new to Final Girl and can't get your hands on The Horror at Happy Trails, this is another good option. Neither the Big Bad Wolf nor the Storybook Woods have a lot of extra rules, mainly dealing with certain event cards and terror cards.

Another fun Feature Film

Average rating of 5 out of 5 stars

This Feature Film does two things well. 1. It broadens the feel of the game. By not shying away from the Fairytale aspects of the setting, Storybook Woods becomes a lot more fun. I think one of the most entertaining games I have played recently was fighting the Evomorph here. It was crazy and fast-paced and just great. The lighter feel of the setting contrasts well with the violent overtones that run throughout Final Girl. 2. Now I can take The Big Bad Wolf and play against him on the USS Konrad and be fighting a werewolf in space. Yes. Thank you. Overall, another great addition to the franchise. And though I usually wouldn't mention the Final Girls that come with the set (I just throw all of them in the Base Box and draw randomly-ish), Gretel is quickly becoming one of my favorites.
