Massively useful, and just massive

Midgard: Campaign Worldbook
This massive tome is filled to the brim with a tremendous amount of quality lore that any DM can seed into an existing homebrew campaign or use to support an ongoing Midgard game. Definitely worth the money.

For those looking for a fleshed-out campaign setting...
Midgard Worldbook (Hardcover edition) has proved invaluable as I consider moving my group towards a Midgard world setting. The content included is dense, informative, and evocative of the many different flavors of lore, myth, and magic that are packed in to the Midgard setting.

Excellent setting for D&D 5E (or any game system really)
The Midgard Worldbook is a fantastic throwback to the old school days of tabletop RPGs when companies like TSR or FASA or Palladium would put out great campaign settings filled with lots of details and history for the Dungeon Master/Game Master running the game to deep dive into so they could make their campaign something the players could immerse themselves in. First off, the book is HUGE. You get hundreds of pages of history and current events and geography and people and places in the Midgard setting. . The book is filled with so many details I couldn't even really begin to list them all. But for example, there's the vampire kingdom of Morgau which is a awesomely creepy place for players to adventure in. Not only do they have to duck and dodge the vampire nobility that runs the place, but there are the members of the Ghoul Imperium below the ground that are allied to them. Not to mention more mundane foes like ogres and trolls and what not that abide in that area. There are the mercenary like dwarves of the Ironcrag Cantons. They love to raid into other areas to capture people to haul back to their mines to work. The Rothenian Plains are filled with roaming tribes of centaurs as well as Grandmother Baba Yaga and her chicken-legged hut. There's also the expansionistic dragon-controlled Mharoti Empire. Plus a nation of Amazonian women where the men sit home and tend to the children. And then...well, I could go on and on. But I think you get the point. There is a TON of information in this book for someone looking for a great, intricately detailed setting without the time on their hands to homebrew their own. Plus, in addition to the fluff of the setting, there are a lot of crunchy rules too. All sorts of things like leyline and rune magic, the various deities of the setting, and so on. And while this is, yes, D&D 5E compatible, with a small bit of work, you could easily use it for any other game fantasy RPG system out there. So if you're looking for a great, richly detailed world setting for your fantasy game, whether 5E or another system, by all means, pick this book up. It's a steal at this price for how much information you get in. The Kobold Krew does some fantastically fine work and you won't be disappointed.
