Bellfaire: Worth it for fans

Average rating of 4 out of 5 stars

I did a lot of reading up on this expansion before purchasing, and I recommend that to anyone who hasn't done so yet. You get several different modules that are all independent of each other that you can add as you like. The new player powers, special event and forest location cards, and market board all add variety to the game. Also, the market board replaces the obtrusive cardboard tree that makes it hard for players behind it to see the cards in the Meadow. The new event cards are better than the ones in the base game: they are way less specific, so you can just use them or mix them in with the ones from the base game. Same for the forest locations: they add variety and replayability. The individual player boards, on the other hand, are just cardboard and don't really add much at all. The expansion also includes animal meeples and rules for 5-6 players which I have not tried yet. Overall, the biggest issue witg the expansion is probably the price for value. If you play Everdell a lot, it's definitely worth it. If not, you might want to stick with the base game. And if you are buying Bellfaire just for the 5-6 player option, you can always just download the rules online and whatever extra meeples you have on hand.

More everdell

Average rating of 5 out of 5 stars

The first expansion to get if you’re not a solo player and you don’t have the glimmer content. More isn’t always better, but this more is.

QUAINT GAME WORKER PLACEMENT , SET COLLECTION - GOOD ENTRY LEVEL GAME

Average rating of 4 out of 5 stars

IT IS A WORKER PLACEMENT THAT IS ALSO A SET COLLECTION GAME. YOU HAVE THE COLLECT CARDS THAT WILL ALSO HELP YOU BUILD RESOURCES AND GAIN OTHER CARDS. ART IS GREAT. THE TREE IS CHARMING BUT SIMPLY TOO DISTRACTING. THE SOLO PLAY IS ALO WORTHWHILE. THIS IS A SAFE BUY AND A GOOD GIFT FOR ENTRY-LEVEL GAMERS.

Must have expansion!

Average rating of 5 out of 5 stars

Adds a little asymmetry to the game with starting animal powers. Expands the board to include a marketplace and ups the max player count to 6.

Expansion must have

Average rating of 5 out of 5 stars

Loved Everdell and had to have the expansions which are great additions to the game play. If you have Everdell the expansions are a necessity.

Just get everything

Average rating of 4 out of 5 stars

Everdell is amazing. This is a modular expansion. It has a few different options you can add to the base game. Special player powers a couple new creature meeples and the market are some of the new things. Highly recommend.
