Great Addition For Root Fan
I'm a huge fan of Root. The neoprene double-sided mat is great. The graphics may not be as sharp as on the cardboard board, but the lack of seams and ability to lay flat outweighs this. It also has a great feel and table presence with the rest of the components on it. Well worth the upgrade from the original board. The only real concern for this going forward will be how long it holds up with how much we play this game. That also means we'll have the original cardboard to fall back on when we need it. I recommend for big root fans.

Good Material
Like the mat especially during setup as it doesn't have the gaps that a cardboard board has. Slight curling of the mat out of the box but fixed with pressure and low amounts of heat.

Upgrade your board!
I love this game so I am excited to upgrade it however I can. I like playmats because they lie flat and have a nice feel with the wood pieces. Not necessary but if you find yourself playing this often and the board never stays flat or the pieces slide then this is an easy buy.
