While not an essential additon to play the game, the landmarks provide more points of interaction to break passive habits. You want to area control. These are areas to control. When Root hits the table for us, odds are these will be there everytime.

A small addition to Root, but very welcome
Landmarks add so much to Root that I won't play without them.

New Options for Root
Love the little extra complexity that this set brings to the root game. Awesome way to make things a little more interesting, would highly recommend!
