Neat little game!
Fluxx has very simple rules (when you start playing). You'll need luck -mostly- to win this game. Rules and objectives are set by the players, but most of the time the cards you got define where things go. Even though it has little to no strategy, it's a very fun game. It's small enough that can be brought in travels and played almost everywhere.

This is one of the best card games in my opinion. The beauty of this game is all about controlling your opponent(s) and destroying their odds of winning while helping yours. The game could be over in a second. You have one card in your hand and everyone has more then 3? Make the hand limit one or zero to force a discard. It's just so much fun to get non-gamers interesting in games.

A great gateway game
So you have some time to play a game, you have some non board game enthusiasts with you? Pull out Fluxx. The rules are stupidly simple (at first!) and it is a great way to get someone in to playing board games. The artwork seems a little cartoony at times but it's family friendly and a wonderful game for kids and adults alike.

Great game... sometimes
Fluxx can be a lot of fun, but sometimes it can drag for way too long. The problem is that it's impossible to predict what kind of game you're going to play, since the rules are completely different each time. The goal of the game changes, the amount of cards you may have in your hands changes... not just from game to game, but within the same game too. You might think you're close to winning, but somebody might change the rules of the game and you're back to square one. This is a good game to play every once in a while and it's cheap enough that it wouldn't hurt your pocket to get one of the many editions available.
