Mists Over Carcassonne

Was packaged very well by MM. The game itself is fun and refreshing for Carcassonne.

It's a very good tile laying game with just enough tension and puzzliness for 1-4 players. My wife and I play and find it to be a great low-key coop that's quick to learn, setup and play. There are 6 levels of difficulty variants if you want to ramp-up the puzzle-challenge and the decision space.

I feel like I went into this one with pretty high expectations and it lived up to my expectations. That rarely happens anymore because I have hundreds of games. It's as simple and approachable as the regular version, and it's cooperative, and somehow even better than regular Carcassone.

Group cooperation fits very well in Carcassonne, and the ghost theme is fun. There are six levels of difficulty, and even the second and third levels are a decent challenge. There are fun trade-offs, and the win-loss condition might recommend it for some over Dorfromantik. A very good adaptation of the base game.

I'm not an experienced Carcassonne player, mostly because I'm more into solo/co-op games, which is the main reason why this game interests me. It can be a tough puzzle figuring out when to score points and when to try to clear ghosts from the board, even at the easiest and simplest level.

A fun twist on a classic game. Trying to manage the ghosts leads to some tense moments and tough decisions. This works really well as a cooperative game.

Very fun co-op that doesn't hold back. If anything that's one of the negatives I have, is that the ghost management can be pretty brutal to handle a lot of the times. Overall I like this more than the original game.

I love Carcassonne and this just makes it better having to deal with the mess and then ghosts being able to play it solo or cooperative makes it more fun.

Nice base game but better as expansion for original Carcassonne. I do enjoy the little mini campaign as well as the capability of making Carcassonne a cooperative experience. One of the better expansions to a game with many existing expansions/revised base games.

Carcassonne is one of my favorite games. Mists is an excellent addition to all my thing Carcassonne. Mists contains two sets of rules. The first set of rules (main rules) makes Mists a stand-alone, cooperative, campaign game. The second set of rules makes Mists a large, competitive, expansion for the Carcassonne base game. It is wonderful that this game can be enjoyed by both cooperative/competitive players. I highly recommend this game!
