Before the Great Pilgrimage, when the Viking lands were still divided and scattered, the mysterious Alfarinn, master of the magical arts and the occult, rallied around himself the most powerful sorcerers and shamans of the North to form a secret circle: the legendary Northern Lodge. This council, composed fo mages of fearsom powerse, placed itself at the service of the Clans of Vikings, guiding the most valiant warriors in the art of ancient occult practices.
With cunning and skill, Alfarinn manipulated the Jarl's decisions, laying the foundations of a great plan, dark and still partly concealed. But now, among the shadows of the Lodge, suspicions are rising - three of its most powerful members are beginning to doubt the true intentions of hteir enigmatic leader. The Northern gale brings rumors of betrayal . . . will they be able to unravel Alfarinn's secrets before it is too late?
