Alfarinn has woven his cloth, maneuvering the threads that connect many Viking clans. The Jarls and their most valiant warriors accepted his challenge, ready to set sail for an unknown land, to retrieve the Runic Gems and the precious equipment left on the battlefield by the gods of Asgard, during the battle against the Jotunn.
Cold and inhospitable, the Deathless Isle awaits. Its ancient warriors are ready to defend their domains and fight the invasion. From the port of Roskilde, the Drekars of each clan sail out to sea with most valiant and skilled heroes aboard. The hunt for the mysterious runic gems has just begin!
• Card-driven, Strategic Miniature Game - Runar is a competitive board game with high interaction and stunning comic-style miniatures. Each player forms and guides a Warband of three Viking Heroes, fighting the opponent's Warbands and savage creatures.
• Fight for the Valhalla - Earn victory points by beating opposing Heroes, defeating powerful Enemies, and retrieving Runic Shards. Complete missions to boost your victory points, but do it before the Destiny Cards end the game.
• Tutorial, Single Game, Campaign, & Solo - This box includes a quick tutoriial to learn the basic rules. Once learned, play exciting single games against friends, or organize a five-game campaign unraveling the secrets of the Deathless Isle and the Runar. For the brave, Solo Mode allows you to assemble a large Warband of 6 Heroes to tackle campaign missions relying solely on your strategic acumen.
