Like the original but better!
It’s like the original Cartographers with the same flip and write mechanic but with new ambush cards and heroes! The new ambush cards are awesome with new ongoing effects or rewards for surrounding them completely. The heroes can be used to destroy monster spaces. They really add some interesting choices to the game! If you enjoy the original you’ll really like this one too!

Great Follow Up
It's a great follow up to the first Cartographers game. All the terrain cards are different but still pretty similar to base Cartographers. The monsters are a lot more interesting with end of season effects. The heroes are nice if you already have monsters on the board. If not, they're usually just good for completing a mountain. It's definitely adding more variety which is what I was looking for.

Great stand alone sequel! There is a lot of the same but it does spice up the play with a bit of variety.

Tetramino heaven. If you like base Cartographers, this just adds more variation. The heros add a clever way to counter damage from monsters.

Great Addition
This is a great addition to Cartographers. If you like Cartographers then you will 100% love this expansion. On the other hand, if you are not a huge fan of the base I doubt this will add anything to make you like the original more. It adds more variety to what the base already offers, but doesn't change how the game plays.

A fantastic continuation of the original game, adds just the right amount of content to renew interest.

After wearing out my copy of the original Cartographers, I'm thrilled to have this sequel with new, more interesting, ambush cards and the addition of the heros. I love that you can combine it with the original or play it as a stand alone game.
