Legendary: Marvel Deck Building Game - Black Panther Expansion

This is an exceptional addition to Marvel Legendary. Great expansion with new fun characters, great artwork, and fun new card abilities. Highly recomended.

This is a nice addition to any marvel legendary collection, especially for black panther fans. Black panther has appeared before but this game focuses on Wakanda. The new keyword feature is a heroes ambush. You can take advantage of certain heroes when they enter HQ. There is also a Throne's favor mechanic that gives nice boosts.

With the new movie released already, play with all the universe of Wakanda is a great pleasure. Solid Masterminds, incredible Characters!

Very creative wound system and great characters. The Ambush keyword for heroes is a nice twist. If you like Legendary and these characters, I'd pick it up!

I love this expansion. I have nearly all of the expansions and this up at the top of my list. I think my favorite mechanic of all is the hero ambush effect. It changes the dynamics of the game. I also like the thrones favor. It showed up in the Inhumans expansion and now that it's back, there are more characters that can benefit from that mechanic. Just don't hold onto it too long, because it will get taken from you. Epic Klaw is crazy powerful an super hard to defeat. Great expansion.

I am an obsessive fan of Legendary, and I own every Marvel expansion Upper Deck has made so far! This is easily one of the most fun to play—with great characters, challenging new schemes, and new keywords! I highly recommend it!!

So this is almost the whiplash effect coming off the Guardians Of the Galaxy MCU version (which was terrible). I haven't played every scenario yet but this is a solid expansion so far. The cards have nice synergy, the new Wounds mechanic makes fighting villains interesting rather than oh wow, they just made the numbers bigger or put some major barrier up to fighting them. Unlike all but the easiest masterminds, you can start making progress towards defeating killmonger fairly early in the game so you feel like you're accomplishing something - even though to *defeat* him takes 15 points per tactic (which otherwise would put him on the harder end of the spectrum). Not a HUGE fan of throne's favor, but empowered was fun and the changes to ambush were interesting. Overall one of the better sets.

Great expansion with fun characters. Really seems like a missed opportunity to have Namor as the second Mastermind since Throne's Favor is in this expansion, but I'm not going to knock the whole expansion because of just that.
