The water based formula of Model Color has been specifically developed for adherence on difficult surfaces such as metal and plastic, but the product is not toxic, not flammable, and does not give off noxious fumes. Errors can be corrected immediately with water or alcohol Model Color dries quickly to a matte, even and waterproof finish. Exact drying time depends on the temperature and humidity of the environment, on the surface which has been painted, and on the thickness of the paint layer - although the colors are dry to the touch within minutes, the water content keeps on evaporating, and the paint does not acquire its true permanence until several weeks after application.
Model Color are presented in a 17ml bottle with eyedropper. This packaging prevents the paint from evaporating and drying in the container.

Vallejo Paints in general
Since returning to model building and figure painting after over a 30-year hiatus many things have changed including paints. Acrylic paints were new with Citadel and Floquil back then. Today Citadel is still around and Floquil is long gone. To take their place are several manufacturers such as AK, MIG-Ammo and Vallejo. Vallejo is a very nice paint their game and model colors have a rich and thick consistency and can be thinned with water or an acrylic thinner. I recommend Vallejo acrylic thinner for their paint if you intend to use that type of thinner. But I have gotten great results with water. I Like the wide range of colors and they are consistent with matching colors for Military figures meeting the standards that were required i.e. WWII German RLM etc. I recommend using a wet palette when painting Acrylics. If you intend to airbrush you can easily thin with airbrush thinner and a drop or two of flow improver. You can also use their Air brand which is already thinned. Compared to MIG-Ammo I like Vallejo's consistency with their game and model paints giving me the flexibility to thin when needed.

Cool Color!
I picked this paint up on a whim when it was on sale. I don’t paint historical miniatures, but you can never have enough paint. The color is a really dark blue that almost borders on black. It’s got good coverage and goes on smooth. I’m using it to paint some blue marble bases.
