Manufacturer: Vallejo

A range of 218 acrylic colors, very highly pigmented, formulated for models and miniatures. Model Color is indicated for all surfaces, and especially formulated to adhere to plastics and polyesters.

The water based formula of Model Color has been specifically developed for adherence on difficult surfaces such as metal and plastic, but the product is not toxic, not flammable, and does not give off noxious fumes. Errors can be corrected immediately with water or alcohol Model Color dries quickly to a matte, even and waterproof finish. Exact drying time depends on the temperature and humidity of the environment, on the surface which has been painted, and on the thickness of the paint layer - although the colors are dry to the touch within minutes, the water content keeps on evaporating, and the paint does not acquire its true permanence until several weeks after application.

Model Color are presented in a 17ml bottle with eyedropper. This packaging prevents the paint from evaporating and drying in the container.

A great wash

Average rating of 5 out of 5 stars

This is the first of soon-to-be many washes added to my collection for painting miniatures and gundam model kits. easy-to-use no mess to deal with and quickly drys compared to the oil variance of some stains and washes of used in the past.

VMC-Red Wash

I personally prefer Citadels washes after working with Vallejo's for a while now however their isnt a huge difference. If I had to choose at the end of the day 9 times out of 10 I would go with the Vallejo wash's if they're in stock on MM because I know they will be shipped out fast and the price of my order is normally the lowest I'm gonna find anywhere.

Very good for adding detail to miniatures, good for Leviathan Tyranids

Average rating of 4 out of 5 stars

This wash becomes more translucent where it is thin, creating a very nice blend into the recesses of miniatures. It works well to create detail in torn flesh or other biological sculpts. I use it for the recesses on GW tyranids Leviathan colors and follow up with Vallejo bone white and Vallejo Off White on the high spots.
