Great addition to base game
We bought this to expand on the base, as we've played it a ton. We enjoy the wrinkles this brings to the base game and always add it in. If you're looking into getting this, for the price I think it's a great way to change up the game and increase strategic variability.

Excellent and necessary.
This is the 2nd of what feel are necessary expansions. With 1 and 2 you really havr an excellent game.

Add a lot to the base game
Traders & Builders is the second expansion and it add a lot to Carcassonne. It is the next level that beginners players need. There is a new way to score points with de Traders and is possible to place double tiles with the Builders.
