You'll Want Agitators and a Mixer
I love the Army Painter paints, but they're a nightmare to mix by hand. Get some kind of agitator and a laboratory mixer. I got a basic one for ~20USD, it makes a world of difference.

Good, inexpensive oxidation paint
I bought this specifically to use for an oxidized look on copper and brass. Army Painter can be hit-or-miss on coverage, and this paint is fairly transparent, but that's actually perfect for what I wanted.
