Time Stories Revolution

Average rating of 3 out of 5 stars

I'll be honest, I'm taking Time Stories Revolution down to 3 stars & I could very well be in the minority for doing so. (In my subjective opinion, the best scenario in Time Stories OG would rate 4 stars & my favorite games are Betrayal, Nemesis, Oath, & The Thing, so maybe factor that into how much weight you assign what I say here.) Season 2 has so many improvements over season 1, from better combat, to interaction decks for different characters, to there being no need to purchase a core box... For my part, though, I miss the runs. There was that feeling of Okay, we discovered a bunch of stuff & then ran out of time, now let's go back because we can do it better & get farther. You still have that in season 2, for the most part, but it's at the end of the scenario... I get to the end & I'm like, We could do it over again & try to maximize our score, but we already know the story & that's not gonna change, so is it worth another 2, 2.5 hours? I don't think that's a flaw in the game. It works for a lot of people. 🙂 It's still a GOOD GAME & you might like it a lot. I was just suprised to find that I prefer the original.
