Similo is a cooperative deduction game. Each version comes with a deck of 30 cards, beautifully illustrated by Naïade, showing the portrait, name, and a brief description of a series of characters with a common theme.
In Similo: Wild Animals you will play with the creatures from the wildlife. The Clue Giver must lead the Guessers to identify one Secret Character by playing other character cards from his hand as clues, stating whether they are similar to or different from the Secret Character. You can also mix and match different versions by using one deck for the characters and the other for the Clues.
Ages: 7+
Players: 2-8
Game Length: 10-15 minutes
This game can be played on its own or combined with other Similo sets for enhanced play.

Great for all ages
Similo has provided an engaging, fast, straightforward game for me to play with my 5yr. old. The core concept is clear and effective, and the challenge of selecting clues and eliminating possibilities makes for a fun game. It can be played in about 5 minutes, and I've also found it to be fun and engaging with other adults. This isn't a deep or complex gaming system, but as a high-speed, language-free option it excels. Interested in picking up other sets and thinking about mixing and matching. Also interested in using this in my classroom as a way to practice and examine analogies and connections and how our thinking around those ideas works.

Good--but better combined with others.
I think Similo becomes much better as you combine sets. So it's a good game, but I wish I didn't feel that I had to track down all the others.

Another similo hit!
We love all the Similo games. It's great fun to pair with other sets for maximum fun and sometimes confusion. It's great for building connections and analogies with kids. How is Zeus (from there mythology set) a good clue for the Lion? It leads to some great discussions after the game.

A fun casual co-op card game.
Similo has great artwork! One person uses the cards to draw a target animal. Then mixes the target up with 11 others to make a 12 card display. The person who knows the target draws 5 cards, and from those 5 selects one to lay face down either horizontally or vertically. Horizontal means the card laid down is NOT like the target, and Vertical means the card IS SIMILAR to the target card. (ie a flamingo IS similar to a lion because they both originate from Africa...or a flamingo is NOT similar to a lion because it's a bird) the more cards played narrow down the options of which card the target could be.

Another great title in the Similo family.
We love to mix our Similo decks and these new animal packs are great fun. Great for homeschoolers like us.

Great with kids
This is my son's (5 yr) new favorite game. He struggles on some of the clues that don't play off of the physical attributes displayed on the cards, but we have played as a team and he really enjoys it.
