Good follow up to Zombie Kidz

Average rating of 5 out of 5 stars

I’ve played Zombie Kidz and my 6 year old loved it. Zombie Teenz has followed that up with what made Kidz so enjoyable. It’s more of a pick and deliver, and my now 7 year old little to no problems with the rules. The artwork has tie ins to the Flashback game also by Scorpion Masque. We’re about 1/3 in so far through the unlocks and so far recommend it. The comic book you build as you progress is a nice touch.

Seems pretty good, but didn't work for my kids

Average rating of 3 out of 5 stars

Maybe my kids just don't like board games very much, but the mechanics seemed not to click with them. You can hardly do anything on your turn so you HAVE to coordinate with the other players to win - and to feel like your actions are meaningful. This takes communication and planning and at times seemed to work but just not that well. I think they might play it again, but they aren't asking to. I was hoping the stickers and legacy aspect would get them, and maybe this is because they don't play many video games, but that didn't seem to click with them or motivate them. For me, the game isn't deep or exciting enough to want to break it out unless the kids are asking about it so...Unfortunately I foresee this one not hitting the table for a while if ever. That said, don't let this discourage you from trying this game. I could see this being a pretty fun cooperative game for kids who are more into board games. Despite the title, I would not buy this for teenagers, I don't think it'll be complicated enough for them. I was torn on how many stars to give this, but because of my experience, I don't see how I could give it more than 3 stars. Just bear in mind my rating is pretty subjective - it was somewhat of a waste of me but may not be for you.

Awesome family co-op

Average rating of 5 out of 5 stars

Very, very fun! Especially if you have children. My wife and I play with our kids who range from 6 to 11 years old and they all have a great time. Great family game. Zombie Kidz was great and after only one game we can tell that we are going to love the improvements they have made for the sequel.
