Must have expansion
Hydra Resurrection is a welcome exception to my general feelings towards them. Expansions aren't the greatest value for what they provide. This expansion costs half the price of the core game for 1/3rd the number of miniatures and fractions of all other game components. Unless somebody backed the Kickstarter campaign and got 87 additional heroes, zombie heroes, and bystanders, expansions are the only option for adding more variety to the game. Hydra Resurrection is more of a must-have expansion than Fantastic 4. It has 25 miniatures with the Red Skull and Hydra soldiers having range capabilities making them more dangerous enemies. Exploding canisters add another means of removing enemies. The map tiles represent the SHIELD Helicarrier which can be multilevel. Stairs don't use up additional activation points the way the elevator does in Fantastic 4. Enemies don't spawn on levels without player characters. The expansion provides the hero versions of the Black Widow, Ant-Man, Vision and She-Hulk; zombie versions of Quicksilver, Falcon, Loki, and Hawkeye; Bystanders of Nick Fury and Maria Hill; the Red Skull and 14 armed zombie Hydra soldiers. A dozen new missions provide a lot of additional fun for the Marvel Zombies series. Regardless of whether somebody has the Kickstarter rewards, this expansion provides enough additional minis, map tiles, and variety to make it worth getting.

It’s a great way to add some more ways to play (Vs Hydra) and more heroes for zombie and Hero mode is always good!
