Easy to learn
I was able to teach my 7 year old how to play with this set. Very straight forward and gives plenty of knowledge without being overwhelming.

Great way to learn the game.
Got this for my daughter to learn how to play. Decks are basic but great for beginners, and the learn-to-play walk-through does a good job of teaching how to play. Would recommend for beginners.

The Battle Academy boxes remain a fantastic way to enter the Pokemon TCG. The price for what you get in this package is stellar. That being said, my son and I found the previous box to have decks that were both stronger and more fun to play. The decks included still seem well balanced and good for learning the game. If you are considering getting into the Pokemon TCG the Battle Academy products way be the very best way to do so.
