Game Color is a special selection of fine waterbased acrylic colors manufactured with a special resin and permanent pigments for miniatures figures in fantasy and war games.

This compact range has been especially developed to contain all the frequently used colors in fantasy figures, in a formula particularly designed for adherence on plastics and metals, using a new resin of unequalled durability and resistance to scrapes and abrasion. Colors brush on easily and smoothly, and dry to an opaque, matte finish. Their finely ground texture makes them perfect for the most miniature details as well as for large surfaces. They are highly pigmented, light fast and waterproof once dry. Errors can be corrected immediately with water or a small amount of alcohol.

The Washes and Inks, developed with a new resin, are used for shadows and for the application of colors in layers. When applied over a basecoat, they enter into the folds and grooves of the figure, and instantly bring forth the features. They can also be mixed with the regular colors, or with the Mediums.

Game Color are presented in a 17ml bottle with eyedropper. This packaging prevents the paint from evaporating and drying in the container.

yellow

Average rating of 5 out of 5 stars

This yellow may be called moon yellow but it is bright, try dulling it with a black or a white depending on desired results. With that said it is a great vibrant yellow and great or adding that little splash of color to really make something stand out.

Closest thing to a primary yellow in the Game Color line

Average rating of 5 out of 5 stars

Moon Yellow is the closest thing to a pure yellow in Vallejo's Game Color line. If you are interested in mixing your own colors using basic color theory this would be your primary color yellow. When you combine this color with 72.009 Bloody Red and 72.022 Ultramarine Blue you should be able mix just about any color you can think of with the exception of grayscale colors like black, white, and gray. Moon Yellow also one of the brightest colors in the Game Color Line. Mix it with Dead White for a good yellow highlight or use it straight out of the bottle for bright yellow accents. The Vallejo Game Color line is my paint of choice at the moment. I find that these pigments are more vibrant that the Model Color line and I like the way they feel on a brush better than the offerings from other manufacturers. Always be sure to shake these paints before use as the pigments can separate after the bottles have been sitting for a while.
