Immortal Souls Playthrough
Top 5 Miniatures Games Due in 2017

In Sword & Sorcery, you control heroes with unique powers - legendary characters, brought back to life by powerful sorcery. Weakened by the resurrection, they grow stronger during the story-driven quests. Explore dangerous ruins, ominous forests, and the besieged cities of the Talon Coast. Fight together against the forces of evil - controlled by the game system itself - to save the kingdom and break the spell that binds their immortal souls.

Sword & Sorcery is the ultimate heroic fantasy board game experience, with an advanced AI system for monsters, a high degree of character customization, and rich tactical options during battles.

Excellent dungeon crawler

Average rating of 5 out of 5 stars

Complex, but that's what makes it interesting and fun. The minis are very detailed and the rules make sense so you can learn them in stages. Way more interesting then the D&D dungeon crawlers (like Legend of Drizzt).

Arrived in the mail promptly and with no shipping issues. Great game with a lot of options for character customization as well as a comprehensive system including some of the smartest A.I. I have yet seen. The only reason it loses a star is that the core box doesn't contain all that many scenarios to play through, a tragedy considering the modular nature of the game. If you have a source for extra scenarios and/or wish to create them yourself, though, I highly recommend it to you.

Fun game for someone coming from RPGs and Video Games.

Average rating of 5 out of 5 stars

I am fairly new to board gaming as a hobby, but coming from RPGs and video games I felt confident in taking on a heavier ruleset. This has a large 56 page rule book. While it lays out the rules in an organized fashion I found trying to find rules while playing a bit cumbersome. I highly suggest looking for a how to play video online to help learn what may be confusing to you. The components are good. My only complaints are that if you sleeve your cards the insert becomes useless, and some of the miniature's weapons came bent, nothing a little patience and care can't fix. Also if you are like me and throw away the card board that the tokens and map pieces pop out of there is not a place to keep the tokens. I plan on ordering some small ziplocs to sort the tokens quickly. I just finished playing through the prologue quest last night and found it to be very easy to complete. At no point did i feel like my heroes were threatened. Perhaps I had good die rolls but even the big bad at the end (not really a spoil, what dungeon crawler doesn't end with a big bad?) I was able to defeat with two attacks. It also could be that the crawl was designed to be easy so you can learn the system. All in all I enjoyed the game greatly. So far the story has been interesting. I really like the variety of the weapons, armor, gear and powers. It makes the characters feel unique and engaging. My favorite is picking up a cool item that can only be attained through treasures. I can't wait to play the second chapter and teach this to my friends.
