Fitting conclusion to the rivals saga
Three more eras in this set that introduce interesting new mechanics. The era of sages introduces a new type of hero (sages) that generate a new type of resource that you can use to upgrade your principality or alter event outcomes. Explorers gives you an ocean to explore in addition to your principality that gives you a different way to win the game beyond just your principality and city expansions. Progress concludes the saga and you get to focus on keeping your citizens happy else they revolt against you and destroy your buildings. Good fun in all three additional eras. Favorite: explorers because I love the excitement of finding out what you’re discovering just to end up sinking your ship and having to start your journey over with a new one!

Great Expansion
ou get more of the good stuff -- more region expansions, more city buildings, more heroes. You also get some entirely new game mechanics in this box ... like the ability to explore islands and fight pirates! All in all, a great addition to the base game. I prefer it to the Age of Darkness expansion.
