A Quicker Rival for Catan

Average rating of 5 out of 5 stars

If the full version of Settlers of Catan overwhelms you but you want to understand the hype, this game is for you. Quick to pick up and play, I've enjoyed this each time it comes off the game shelf. I admire the hand-drawn art on each card. The game mechanics allow you to play simply or like Machiavelli. And now the deluxe version with the game tray keeps your tabletop orderly. I have fond memories of playing this game with good friends and look forward to creating more! The box is oversized to accommodate both expansions (Age of Darkness and Age of Enlightenment).

Great game, one of our favorites. I especially like the trays that come in the deluxe version, great for when you play, to bad you can't store the cards in them. The only other complaint is the commerce, and strength tokens are disappointing.
